Arbitration bill still looms large

In the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling giving added teeth to companies’ ability to include binding, pre-dispute arbitration clauses in consumer agreements, employment contracts and other commonplace pacts, the one piece of legislation pending in Congress that has the ability to change the legal landscape the most is the proposed Arbitration Fairness Act, S. 987 and H.R.1873.
