Insurer faces $95M bill after Katrina suit

Louisiana's state-backed insurance company is facing a $95 million legal bill, due next week, that could eventually get passed on to all homeowners in the state. Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corp. has until Monday to post a $95 million bond after losing a class-action lawsuit that accused the company of taking too long to settle claims after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
