Music industry downloads $1.9 million victory in retrial
A federal jury in Minnesota awarded the music industry $1.92 million earlier this month after finding that Jammie Thomas-Rasset illegally downloaded 24 songs and shared them on a peer-to-peer network. The victory came two years after the first trial - where jurors awarded $222,000 - was reversed because of an improper jury instruction.
