    Justices stay mum on same-sex marriage cases

    It appears that the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court like keeping everyone in suspense.

    As on Friday afternoon, on Monday morning many Court watchers were on the edges of their seats to learn whether the justices would grant cert on the same-sex marriage cases involving challenges to the Defense of Marriage Act as well as California’s Proposition 8.

    But again, the Court remained mum on the topic, meaning that the world will have to wait until at least the end of the week  - the justices conference again on Friday – to learn whether the cases will get Supreme review.
