Tattoo artists enjoy the protection of the First Amendment in plying their trade. That’s what the Arizona Supreme Court has decided in a zoning dispute between the city of Mesa and a couple who wanted to open a tattoo parlor.

A city was required to satisfy the traditional probable cause standard in order to obtain a court order for the inspection of a home for zoning violations, the Connecticut Supreme Court has ruled in reversing judgment.
