Taser International has settled a product liability case brought by a California man whose normal heart function was disrupted for approximately 18 minutes after being tased by police officers. The agreement marks the first time Taser has settled a product liability suit by a criminal suspect alleging injury or death caused by the device, said the lead plaintiff’s attorney.
