Miss. man awarded $7.6M in silicosis case

A Warren County, Miss., jury has awarded $7.6 million to a former sandblaster who developed severe silicosis. The verdict is the first silicosis case to go to a jury in the state.

WASHINGTON – The U.S .Chamber of Commerce is urging Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate and prosecute cases of fraudulent asbestos and silica litigation.
