A person possessing a power of attorney may lawfully sign an arbitration agreement on behalf of an incapacitated patient, the Colorado Supreme Court has ruled.

A power of attorney that was signed by a notary in advance but executed later by the decedent is invalid, the Arkansas Supreme Court has ruled in reversing the appointment.
