Benchmarks: Hotel may have to pay for drunk guest’s fatal plummet (access required)

An Arizona hotel thought it was off the hook for the death of a severely intoxicated guest who plunged three stories after climbing out of the window of her room. But as puzzling as it may seem, a state court decided last week that a jury should decide whether the hotel breached a duty of care.
