Justices to decide whether police acted in good faith

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to decide whether  police officers are entitled to qualified immunity in a §1983 lawsuit challenging their obtaining a facially valid warrant to search for firearms, firearm-related materials and gang-related items in the residence of a gang member who had threatened to kill his girlfriend with a specifically identifiable sawed-off shotgun.
