WASHINGTON - A bill that would increase the number of federal bankruptcy judges to handle the recent surge of personal and corporate bankruptcies has advanced in the House.
On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee passed H.R. 4506, the Bankruptcy Judgeship Act of 2010, clearing the way for the measure to be considered by the full House.
