CPSC: Lead ban for kids’ toys may extend too far (access required)
Asks Congress for more enforcement exemptions for bikes, books

WASHINGTON - The Consumer Product Safety Commission is concerned that the recently-enacted law banning lead paint in children's products extends to a number of products that were not intended to be covered, according to a report the agency sent to Congress on the enforcement of the law.
