Senate committee advances Sotomayor nomination (access required)

WASHINGTON - The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted 13-6 to send the nomination of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor to the full Senate, clearing the way for the Court's first Latina justice to be confirmed as early as next week.
